The Wind & His Word
Written by Nikki Foster
Illustrated by Cailey Knight
This lyrical, faith-filled picture book follows a young girl named Ruby as she listens closely to the world around her.
When the breeze carries the scent of honeysuckle or the rustle of leaves, Ruby begins to wonder:
Might the wind carry God’s word?
Told in poetic prose and with gentle imagery, The Wind & His Word invites children to sense God’s nearness through the quiet rhythms of nature. From a mother’s heart to the hands of little readers, this story is perfect for bedtime, porch-side reading, or any moment that deserves a holy hush.
"The Wind & His Word provides something that every child needs during their most formative years: the theological reality that God is good, that God is in control, that God is with us, and that God is worthy of praise in every season. This book gives that in a way that even the youngest child can grasp. Every parent should have a copy to help shape their children’s view."

Because sometimes, the wind delivers exactly what we need.
From the Author
The Wind & His Word began on our porch when my daughter and I were listening to the wind chime, and she asked, “Mama, do you think the wind is talking?” Her wonder met us right in the middle of a hard time for our family — one where we were learning, again, how God meets us in every season of life.
This story grew from that moment. My hope is that it gently points little hearts to the Lord, and that it reaches the hands of the children who most need His nearness.
