Behind the Scenes of The Wind & His Word
On a windy afternoon, my daughter sat on my lap on the porch as we listened to the wind chime. After a while, she tilted her head back and asked, “Mama, do you think the wind is talking?”
…And now, as that once-tiny idea has grown into a full picture book, I find myself reflecting on all that’s happening behind the scenes: the editing, the partnerships, and the quiet ways God keeps orchestrating it all.
The Abiding Place
As I sat in the hush, I noticed movement: herons, everywhere. Elegant and strange, like brushstrokes come to life. The white ones came and went; but one blue heron remained, unmoving. Steady. Watchful.
America, Where Are You?
After 9/11, unity surged through us like a lifeline. For a moment, America remembered who she was. We stood together, shoulder to shoulder, and it was beautiful. But now, instead of unity in the face of crisis, we meet death with mockery.
When God Calls You to Plant Without a Harvest Date
Can you imagine if, instead of a neat little number, the back of a seed packet simply read: “TBD days to harvest”?
That’s what this season feels like. Not my flower season, but this life season.
